Blood samples of coronavirus patients stolen by monkeys

A group of monkeys has been searched in India after stealing blood samples of coronavirus-positive patients.

According to Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College and Hospital medical superintendent Dr. Dheeraj Baliyan, while walking by his lab assistant working at the COVID-19 facility and carrying blood samples for examination.

Immediately attacked by monkeys it took a sample box containing three samples.

Such samples are blood samples and not swabs derived from people who contract the coronavirus.

The monkeys climbed the tree and were thrown out after the site had been humiliated.

Authorities said no one was able to handle the samples and they were also quickly cleaning the environment.

The district administration is now investigating the alleged negligence of hospital authorities.
