The Central Bank of the Philippines (BSP) has officially launched the improved “new generation currency banknotes”.
According to BSP Governor Benjamin Diokno, the new currencies have more features against counterfeiting.
He added that the new money is also for the benefit of the elderly and visually impaired.
The design improved P50, P100, P200, P500 and P1,000.
The enhanced feature includes the “movements of designs and color” of the windowed security thread of the aforementioned currencies when viewed from different angles.
It has an “indigenous weave design” and features alphanumeric denominational value and “BSP” text.
