MANILA, Philippines (Updated, 6:41 p.m.) – Ilagan City in Isabela was set in the strictest lockdown in the Philippines on Thursday, due to the ongoing pandemic.
Due to the large number of coronavirus diseases (COVID-19) patients there, even Ilagan City Mayor Josemarie Diaz has tested positive.
“Marami sa bilang na ito ay mula sa mga Locally Stranded Individuals na galing sa Metro Manila at sa iba pang mga lugar na maraming kaso ng nasabing sakit,” Diaz said in a statement, adding that some COVID- 19 positive.
“Nitong araw na ito, ibilang na rin po ninyo ang inyong abang lingkod sa mga nagpositibo at naging biktima ng COVID-19 na ito.”
