The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) has alerted local government units to the areas hit by typhoon Pepito to prepare for the possible impact.
According to NDRRMC spokesperson Mark Timbal, they reminded LGUs to follow the health protocol in all humanitarian operations.
Timbal said their personnel as well as their evacuees should be protected to avoid COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the NDRRMC is ready to provide assistance to the needs of LGUs.
Their operation center is also open for emergencies.
Based on the latest PAG-ASA record, typhoon Pepito is moving in the west-northwest of the Northern-Central Luzon Area and is expected to hit the Aurora-Isabela area tonight.
As a result, some areas have been raised to signal number 2 as well as signal number 1 in other parts of Luzon including Metro Manila.
