A 5.5 magnitude earthquake shook parts of extreme Northern Luzon.
According to Phivolcs, it was recorded as early as 6:32 a.m.
Its epicenter was located 49 km southwest of Sabtang, Batanes.
It has a depth of 14 kilometers and is tectonic in origin.
Although it is not expected to cause much damage, it is possible that some aftershocks will follow.
