MANILA – A total of 467,601 total COVID-19 cases were recorded in the Philippines this Christmas.
According to the latest case bulletin released by the Department of Health (DOH), the COVID-19 tally has added 1,885 new cases of the disease.
But that does not include the report of 15 laboratories that failed to submit data yesterday, December 24.
“15 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on December 24, 2020.”
Quezon City still has the highest number of new COVID-19 cases at 130. Bulacan followed with 122, Davao City (99), Rizal (78), and Leyte (63).
There are 27,748 total active cases or healing patients. Total recoveries increased by 307, now hitting 430,791. The total deaths are 9,062 after the addition of seven new deaths.
“7 duplicates that were removed from the total case count. Of these, 4 recovered cases have been removed. In addition, a case was found to have tested negative and has been removed from the total case count. ”
“Moreover, there were 2 cases that were previously reported as recovered but after final validation.”
