MANILA – The Department of Health (DOH) has released its campaign alongside select artists for basic education for viewers to combat the pandemic novel coronavirus disease.
Directed by Pepe Diokno, the artists feature Jodi Sta. Maria, Bela Padilla, JC Santos, Melai Cantiveros and Dingdong Dantes are their public guides to four TV infomercials under the DOH Heart to Heart campaign.
These include aspects of hygiene, receiving proper information, social distancing, and staying home to care for the whole family.
Diokno and producers Alu Dorotan-Tiuseco and Ida Tiongson developed the project for the benefit of more and more people without access to the internet and still rely on television information and guidance.
Diokno also advocated a more direct and gentle way of communicating with the stars to make the campaign relatable.
Jodi, Melai, JC, Bela and Dingdong developed their participation in Heart to Heart advocacy in their respective homes.
Diokno’s friends helped to become a supporting cast in the project.
Dorotan and Diokno also thank the stars who agreed to join the DOH campaign for free.
Diokno and his partners are aiming to expand the campaign with the help of other personalities.
