Up to 4,040 new cases of COVID-19 were reported by the Department of Health (DOH) today. That is why the total number of people affected by the pandemic disease in the country has reached 252,964.
According to the DOH, only six laboratories failed to submit data yesterday to their COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS). These include:
Butuan Medical Center Cebu TB Reference Laboratory Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Medical Center Ilocos Training Regional Medical Center (GX) Marikina Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory Safeguard DNA Diagnostics Of the more than 4,000 additional cases of the disease, 68% have tested positive in the past 14 days.
“Of the 4,040 reported cases today, 2,754 (68%) occurred within the recent 14 days (August 29 – September 11, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (1,196 or 43%), Region 4A (640 or 23%) and Region 3 (244 or 9%). ”
Most were recorded in the National Capital Region, Calabarzon and Central Luzon.
Meanwhile, the number of active or active cases will reach 62,250.
The total number of recoveries has increased by 566 to 186,606. While 42 is additional to the death toll of 4,108.
Of the 42 deaths, 25 occurred in September (60%), 11 in August (26%) 2 in July (5%) 1 in June (2%) and 3 in April (7%). Deaths were from NCR (15 or 36%), Region 5 (6 or 14%), Region 6 (5 or 12%), Region 8 (3 or 7%), Region 11 (3 or 7%), Region 12 ( 3 or 7%), Region 7 (2 or 5%), BARMM (2 or 5%), Region 9 (1 or 2%), Region 4A (1 or 2%), and Region 4B (1 or 2%) . ”
The DOH allegedly removed 23 duplicates from the total case count, of which nine are recoveries.
Nine other recoveries were replaced by tagging after validation determined that they were dead.
