President Rodrigo Duterte personally visited Jolo, Sulu.
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said the president’s visit was to extend his condolences to the victims of the two explosions that killed 15 people and injured 75 others last week.
He was accompanied by Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, Senator Bong Go and other officials.
The president offered flowers at the blast site before heading to Camp Teodolfu Bautista to visit the injured in the blast.
The president also met with some city officials.
Roque added that he immediately returned to Metro Manila after his visit to Sulu.
