Actor Eric Fructuoso denied that he was riding a tricycle for a job during the pandemic.
Fructuoso reacted after his picture was spread on social media where he was seen driving a tricycle.
“Hindi po totoong namamasada ako ng trike sa Naic, Cavite… Dine ako sa Lipa, Batangas namamasada mas malaki ang kita! Akalain mong p200 ispesyal hanggang Rowbeensons?” Fructuoso said in his Facebook post.
At the same time, the actor said that tricycle drivers should not be underestimated.
He said: “May kumpare akong trike driver sa BF Homes at nung nag garage sale ako dati e yung mga kasamahan niyang trike drivers na tropa ang bumile ng mga Ralph Lauren at Ferragamo ko. “Kaya nga ‘barya lang sa umaga’ dahil buo buo pera nila.”
According to the 44-year-old actor, he wants to convey the message that there is no need to be ashamed of any job as long as it is honorable now that the country is facing a health crisis.
“Sa panahon kasi ngayon, hindi ka pwedeng maarte. Hindi pwedeng kaartehan ang pairalin.
“Basta pagkakakitaan legal, para sa pamilya, tirahin lang nang tirahin.”
