CAUAYAN CITY – Naguillian town of Isabela, an overseas Filipino worker, had its first case of COVID 19.
The first case in the Town was a 42-year-old man, an OFW resident of Naguilian, Isabela.
The OFW arrived in the Philippines from Saudi Arabia on June 11, and returned home on the fifteenth of June.
The OFW’s co-workers met PH 28953 or CV45 with him on his way home to the province on the bus that OWWA rented for their repatriates.
Currently, the patient has no symptoms of the virus.
The DOH is currently in contact with the Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit, the DILG, PNP, Isabela provincial government and the Naguilian local government.
They will work together to perform the contact tracing and identify the immediate “close contacts” of the patient.
They also appealed to the public to work together to speed up the practice of contact tracing.
