Yesterday, Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson insisted that the government should heed the appeal of health care workers to put Metro Manila in enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) for the next two weeks.
According to Lacson, there is a basis and Malacañang should take the appeal seriously because life should be given more consideration.
“The request of health workers to place Mega Manila under ECQ for at least two weeks is a valid request that Malacañang should seriously consider. Putting human lives above all considerations is a no-brainer, given the choice, ”Lacson said.
Lacson added that there should also be a change in the distribution of aid to those most in need.
What is important, he said, is to prevent the pattern of continuous increase in the number of infections every day.
For more than four months, the data management of the relevant government agencies should be in order, the senator said.
