Malacañang clarified that the agreement of the whole cabinet “one seat apart policy” on public transport has not yet been implemented.

Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said the official gazette of the cabinet members’ agreement to allow a seat between passengers on public transportation must be published in the official gazette.

According to Sec. Roque, only then will the said public transport easing be effective once the publication is complied with.

Apart from the publication in the official gazette, it is also necessary to formulate the relevant guidelines which are under the responsibility of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

But it is no longer necessary to issue an Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of the Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) resolution because the measure is a consensus that has already been ratified at the Cabinet meeting.
