The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has distributed up to P82 billion to 13.7 million Filipino families who are beneficiaries of the social amelioration program (SAP).
DSWD Undersecretary Rene Glen Paje said financial aid was distributed through manual and digital payouts.
According to Usec. Paje, among those already given are members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), non-4Ps, wait-listed, residents in enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) as well as transport networks and vehicle services and public utility drivers.
Paje.
Residents of Bacolod City who are now in the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) are also included in the second phase of SAP due to the high case of COVID-19.
The people of Iligan City in Lanao del Norte who are also now in MECQ cannot be helped.
Paje explained.
