PH – The government will turn Iglesia Ni Cristo’s Philippine Arena into a coronavirus quarantine center.

Based on a report from Inquirer, the government will turn the Philippine Arna into a “mega-quarantine facility” for COVID-19 patients. Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) President and CEO Vince Dizon expressed his gratitude to the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) for offering the massive arena in Bocaue, Bulacan as quarantine center.

It will cater coronavirus patients in the Province of Bulacan and nearby towns.

“Nagpapasalamat tayo sa INC, sa Kapatiran, dahil pumayag na po sila. Inoffer po nilang gamiting ang Philippine Arena para magserve sa Bulacan at Region 3,” said Dizon

According to the report, among the twelve (12) facilities being converted to address the overcrowding hospitals were Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Forum Halls, Quezon Memorial Circle (open areas), World Trade Center, Veterans Memorial Medical Center, Amoranto Sports Complex in Quezon City, Rizal Memorial Coliseum, FTI facility (Taguig City), Duty-Free Philippines (Parañaque), Quezon Institute, Filinvest Tent (Alabang) and the PhilSports Arena (Pasig).
