The Philippines is
sure to get about 30-million dosage of COVID-19 vaccine made in India Novavax.
According to Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. the vaccine supply contract will be signed before the end of the year.
The secretary added that the information came from the Serum Institute of India, which is said to be the largest vaccine producer in the world.
Earlier, American vaccine developer Novavax Inc. reached an agreement. and the Serum Institute of India for the development and commercialization of their COVID-19 vaccine.
So far, the Philippines has secured a 2-million dosage of coronavirus vaccines from the British pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca.
The government also targets deal with Sinovac Biotech of China, Gamaleya Research Institute of Russia, and Moderna and Pfizer of the United States.
