The Coordinating Council of the Private Educational Association of the Philippines (COCOPEA) has asked the Department of Education (DepEd) not to include them in the delayed opening of classes on October 5.

COCOPEA Managing Director Joseph Noel Estrada said many private schools have just opened this DepEd announcement.

It asserted that private schools were ready where others had started classes in July.

He admitted that DepEd is not facing health issues and it is the readiness to return to school.

He also said that they are ready to help public schools so that the opening of classes will not be affected.
