Veteran actress Anita Linda has passed away.
This was confirmed by his daughter Francesca Legaspi
No one has mentioned the cause of the death of the so-called “oldest active actress” at the age of 95.
Anita has been recognized for her unique contributions to showbiz, having performed in starring roles in films and on television. At the age of 95, Anita Linda is considered the oldest active actress in the local film industry.
Anita Linda has made a name for herself, having been a romantic lead in her youth until her performance in maternal or elderly roles has garnered awards in various award giving bodies.
She has also appeared in various Filipino films, such as Adolfo Alix, Jr.’s “Presa”. “Sisa” and “The Devil in the Old Church” by Gerardo de Leon, and “Grandma” by Brillante Mendoza.
Some of the award-winning actress’s films are “Ang Babae sa Bubungang Lata,” and lastly, “Circa” became the entry for the 2019 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino.
In the Instagram post of director Adolf Alix he confirmed the sad news that extended his condolences to the family.
