Malacañang announced that all cemeteries nationwide will be closed from October 29 to November 4 to prevent crowds during Todos Los Santos.
According to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, those who are temporarily closed on the said date also include the columbaries.
“All private and public cemeteries and memorial parks will be closed to visitors from Oct. 29 to Nov. 4, 2020, ”Roque said at a press briefing in Baguio City.
“We can visit before closing and after closing the cemeteries,” he added.
He said the Inter-Agency Task Force also approved the temporary closure of the graves.
To allow Filipinos to visit their bereaved loved ones, the cemeteries can receive up to 30% of their venue capacity.
The secretary added that those planning to go to the graves should be wearing face masks and face shields.
