Isabela confirms first positive case of coronavirus

ISABELA, Philippines – A 23years-old male patient who traveled from Metro Manila to Isabela. He is the first case of the coronavirus disease or COVID-19 in Isabela province.

Chief of Hospital Dr. Idelfonso Costales confirmed on Thursday, March 26, the first positive of COVID-19 in Nueva Isabela. He is currently in stable condition and is recovering from covid-19.

As of 5:00 PM of March 26, 2020, there are 49 persons under investigations (PUIs) admitted to SIMC.

He was among the four latest cases of the fast-spreading viral disease in the Cagayan Valley Region and the first recorded case in Isabela

With the development, the Isabela governor reminded to refrain from going out and “bringing home the virus” with them.

Albano has ordered the full implementation of community quarantine and curfew from 8 pm to 5 am in the province.

He warned there will be “minimum tolerance for violators.”
