BAGUIO CITY – More than P50 million worth of marijuana plants will be set on fire in Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet next Sunday.

In an interview with Viva Filipinas with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) -Cordillera Regional Director Gil Castro, this is part of the ceremonial burning, on the morning of October 19, 2020.

He said PNP Chief Police General Camilo Cascolan is expected to witness the ceremonial burning of marijuana confiscated by the authorities in the Cordillera region.

He also said that P25 million worth of marijuana from the Cordillera Region has been burned during the ceremonial burning in Metro Manila.

At the same time, Castro admitted that the Cordillera remains the source of the largest volume of marijuana in the country.
